This Fibre Optic training course is a Corporate training course designed for ROV technicians, engineers and other personnel looking to improve their knowledge of ROV fibre Control Systems.
General fibre optic and control theory will be covered during the 2-day course. Candidates will learn how to apply this theory to many ROV systems and subsea equipment primarily controlled by surface or subsea systems over fibre optic links.
Practical content is available if the client has suitable workshop facilities and equipment on location; we deliver this course at client facilities throughout the world, allowing us to focus training on specific systems, policies and procedures.
This course is designed to support multiskilling technicians and engineers with mechanically biased backgrounds, as well as for ROV technicians and engineers with little or no experience in Fibre Optic Control systems.
It is highly recommended for any such candidates whose career progression is a priority.

During the course, a series of short written and multi-choice questions will be presented in order to conduct assessment.
A certificate of ‘Successful Completion of Training in ROV Fibre Control Systems’ will be provided to successful candidates.
Access to technical manuals, workshop facilities, an ROV system and associated fibre optic components, consumables, and test equipment is recommended for this course but not essential. We can deliver this course at client facilities throughout the world.
Personnel working with any subsea equipment operated by fibre optic control are recommended to complete this course.
