Over a 2-day Assessor Skills corporate training course, MTCS will provide experienced and competent offshore personnel with the skills they need to assess competence in your workforce.
Our course meets the criteria set down by the IMCA within guidance document C007.
We have also been approved as an assessment centre by EAL. This means that candidates are eligible for internationally recognised external assessment qualifications.
The course provides:
Candidates for the course must be occupationally competent in the roles they will be required to assess. They must also work in a supervisory role. Examples include:
This classroom based course includes modules in:
Following completion of the classroom portion, candidates are required to carry out some assessments in the workplace. Evidence of these assessments must be uploaded to MTCS online for final verification and certificate award processes will not start until verification.
A Certificate of Attendance is given out at completion of the classroom element. The formal qualification as a Skills Assessor also requires successful completion of workplace assessments and underpinning knowledge questions.
Our 2-day classroom course can be delivered in our UK or Singapore training facilities or at client facilities around the world.
A qualified Skills Assessor fills a vital role in the implementation of competence. We strongly recommend at least one senior member of each offshore team meets this criterion.
The course is also available through MTCS Online. For best results in the online course, we recommend that at least one group of candidates take the course in the classroom. Candidates embarking on the online course afterward will then have colleagues to coach and mentor them.
