Overview
• Dive Superintendent
A Dive Superintendent is regarded as someone who is fully conversant in all aspects of subsea marine operations.
They can successfully manage the Project Team during operations and will report directly to the Client Representative when offshore.
The Dive Superintendent is expected to coach and assess members of the Project Team in line with the assessment standards.
• Senior Client Representative (Diving)
The Client Representative acts as the client’s eyes and ears during the offshore phase of a project. They are the prime method for monitoring what is going on at the site from both safety and efficiency points of view. They will be responsible for ensuring that the contractor executes the approved scope of work within the approved procedures.
Junior Client Representative (Diving) – entry level criteria and is working towards competence.
Client Representative (Diving) – completed Client Representative competences 1 to 7.
Senior Representative (Diving) – completed Senior Representative competences 1 to 3.
• Client Representative (Diving)
The Client Representative acts as the client‘s eyes and ears during the offshore phase of a project. • Dive Technician - Electrical, Mechanical and Supervisor
Dive Technician Supervisor
Regarded as someone who is fully conversant with the technical system requirements of diving equipment associated with subsea marine operations. They can supervise and lead the Dive Technical Team during operations and will report directly to the Offshore Project Manager/Dive Superintendent when offshore.
Senior Dive Technician (Mechanical)
Regarded as someone who is fully conversant with the electrical systems of diving equipment associated with subsea marine operations. They can participate fully in the Dive Technical Team during operations and will report directly to the Dive Technician Supervisor when offshore.
Senior Dive Technician (Electrical)
Regarded as someone who is fully conversant with the electrical systems of diving equipment associated with subsea marine operations. They can participate fully in the Dive Technical Team during operations and will report directly to the Dive Technician Supervisor when offshore.
Dive Technician (Mechanical)
Regarded as someone who is conversant with the mechanical systems of diving equipment associated with subsea marine operations. They can participate in the Dive Technical Team during operations and will report directly to the Dive Technician Supervisor when offshore.
Dive Technician (Electrical)
Regarded as someone who is conversant with the electrical systems of diving equipment associated with subsea marine operations. They can participate in the Dive Technical Team during operations and will report directly to the Dive Technician Supervisor when offshore.
• Air Diving and Air Diving Supervisor
Air Diving Supervisor
Regarded as someone who is fully conversant in all air diving activities associated with the subsea marine operations. They can successfully supervise the dive team during operations and will report directly to the Diving Superintendent/Offshore Project Manager when offshore.
The Air Diving Supervisor is expected to coach and assess members of the Dive Team and act as a witness during the competence assessment process.
Air Diver
Regarded as someone who is fully conversant in all air diving activities associated with subsea marine operations. They can successfully participate in the diving team during operations and will report directly to the Diving Supervisor when offshore.
The Air Diver is expected to take part in the competence assessment process.
• Bell (Saturation) Diving and Bell Diving Supervisor
Bell (Saturation) Diving Supervisor
Regarded as someone who is fully conversant in all diving activities associated with the subsea marine operations. They can successfully supervise the dive team during operations and will report directly to the Diving Superintendent/Offshore Project Manager when offshore.
The Saturation Diving Supervisor is expected to coach and assess members of the Dive Team and act as a witness during the competence assessment process.
Bell (Saturation) Diver
Regarded as someone who is fully conversant in all saturation diving activities associated with subsea marine operations. They can successfully participate in the diving team during operations and will report directly to the Diving Supervisor when offshore.
The Saturation Diver is expected to take part in the competence assessment process.
• Life Support Supervisor and Life Support Technician
Life Support Supervisor
Regarded as someone who is fully conversant in all life support activities associated with the subsea marine operations. They can successfully supervise the life support team during operations and will report directly to the Diving Superintendent/Offshore Project Manager when offshore.
The Life Support Supervisor is expected to coach and assess members of the life support team and act as a witness during the competence assessment process.
Life Support Technician
Regarded as someone who is fully conversant with life support activities associated with subsea marine operations. They can fully participate in the life support team during operations and will report directly to the Life Support Supervisor when offshore.
The Life Support Technician is expected to take part in the competence assessment process and mentor/coach assistant life support technicians.
Assistant Life Support Technician
Regarded as someone who is conversant in life support activities associated with subsea marine operations. They can successfully participate in the life support team during operations and will report directly to the Life Support Supervisor when offshore.
The Assistant Life Support Technician is expected to take part in the competence assessment process.
